We want to congratulate the duo First Aid Kit on winning four Swedish Grammys the other day! Did you know that the Grammis statuette is designed by Efva? It was designed in 2008 and is manufactured by Orrefors.

Not only do they share a passion for music, art and peace – they also share a birthday. Today, Yoko Ono celebrates her 80th birthday and our own Efva turns 61. Together they started a collaboration last fall to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders through the jewelry collection “Imagine Peace” – where 30% of the proceeds go to the organization. Congratulations to Yoko and Efva!
Efva also made her own personal birthday card to Yoko, a picture that she and wife Eva posed for in 1996 for the first Europride that took place in Stockholm. It’s a reenactment of Yoko and John Lennon’s famous Bed-In for Peace in the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel in 1969.
